Disc golf is huge on the west coast. Not so much out east. To play this oddball sport in Toronto, you have to get on a ferry and make the trip to Toronto Island. My partner for many years Simon Newman caught the disc golf bug for some reason and in 2007, amazingly, he turned pro. He’s still an art director who does great work, but his true passion has always been design, IMHO. I remember him making fonts in his spare time when we were juniors at Wunderman Cato Johnson. His best one was Baby Head. Yes, he made an entire alphabet out of baby heads. These ads feature some great detail that brought the lines we liked to life. We won an ADCC for this series.
